  Message from Marc         

 

As we move into another year here at the mountain, it is important for me to mention how much I appreciate all the referrals you as members bring us.  It is actually our favorite source for new members. 

Having said that it is time to mention a great campaign we will have in the new year called THE BIGGEST MOVER. Members will receive points for attending Group X classes and bonus points when you bring a new non-member with you to class. At the end of the promotion the top 5 point earners will receive prizes, everything from gym gear to personal training and tanning packages as well as supplements and smoothies.  This contest is to continue building our group exercise program, but mainly it is to reward people for bringing in new members.  The act of recommending us to your friends and family is a huge act of trust and I will never truly be able to express my gratitude to all those who have done this.  Even though my family and I built and staffed the gym it is the membership that makes Mountain Island Fitness what we are. The membership creates the friendly atmosphere where everyone instantly feels welcome. You have my personal thanks and the thanks of my family for all the referrals you have brought and will bring in the future.

Community Fitness Challenge

 

Competition Date:  March 28, 2010 at 1PM

 

A healthy, fit community is important to all of us!

Join with Mountain Island Fitness for a fun and FIT day March 28, 2010 to encourage and promote fitness in our community.  This will be a day of competition between teams of local business for the title of Most Fit Business.

 

The teams will compete in stations doing:

 sit-ups

push-ups

medicine ball squats

around the building relay

Sledge hammer hit

telephone pole carrying

flip the tire relay

and more

The top two teams  will end the competition in a

grand finale Tug-of-War battle for the title.

 

Register today!  This is completely free!  There is no registration or participation fee.  Membership is not required to compete.  There will be prizes, but most importantly there will be BRAGGING RIGHTS and lots of healthy fun.  So get your team together today and help make our community healthier!

 

 

Training Opportunities

When you think of training at Mountain Island Fitness you should think of RESULTS.  We are result driven.  We use  a training triangle as our format.  In the triangle there are three levels that consist of nutrition at the top, cardiovascular training in the middle and resistance training as your foundation.  You will need to follow programs that directly relate to these three levels.  Commitment is the KEY.  Commitment to stay with a program at least 6-8 weeks in order to gain results and see changes in your body will make the difference in your life.
